Verified Life In Paradise This was our 5th visit to Casa Viva since 2011, and was(as always) a fantastic experience! The peaceful serenity of the surrounding nature, all the wildlife, and the warm people make for the exact type of vacation we all look for when we travel for a Winter get away. If you're looking for a perfectly polished multi-star rated resort, this isn't it. But, if you are looking to live in a very rustic, clean, and beautifully landscaped environment where you truly live with nature, you can't do any better than Casa Viva.Verified Pure Paradise The most relaxing part of our trip. Our stay felt like sleeping in a garden by the sea. The best part was walking though the lush greenery in the morning, and starting the day with a tropical swim. Rustic, but luxurious. Walking distance in both directions to some really great restaurants on the shore as well. The kitchen was also well stocked, so we made some of our meals and ate on the veranda. I feel deeply lucky to have visited this tranquil spot. Despite its convenient location, it was private, secluded, and very peaceful.Verified Great Weekend at Casa Viva Lodge! Me quede en el apartamento 5, los que están más cerca de la playa, qué super ambiente tiene esa habitación, con una terraza donde provoca estar todo el dia en la hamaca. Ni hablar de la comodidad de la cama y calidad de sabanas, almohadas, paños. Me impresiono la pulcritud y orden de la habitación. Yasmina y Maria hacen un trabajo excelente y están encima de todos los detalle para la comodidad del huésped. Qué super ambiente tiene esa habitación . Estuve mucho tiempo de mi estadia relajado acostado en la hamaca, disfrutando de la naturaleza, que paz y tranquilidad. Camine por todos los jardines , están mejor que nunca, se nota el esfuerzo de Francisco y Henry que están todo el dia trabajando en ellos, ademas de limpar la playa temprano por la mañana y sacar y recoger las sillas. También Francisco los puede llevar a pasear en kayac por el mar o por el rio. Ahora como gerente esta Nicole, que no hace mas que dar vueltas por el hotel pendiente de cada detalle. Recibiendo al los huéspedes y ofreciéndoles todo su apoyo. Muy buen trabajo ! Hice mucho snorkel , paddle , surf, y disfrute un montón la playa y de toda la zona. También tuve la suerte de que mis antiguos jefes, Luis, Enrique y mi gran amigo Mihkel, estaban por allá. Coming all the way from Norway this was very exotic for us, living in this wonderful garden with all the plants and trees and animals very close. We heard the howling monkeys both day and night, and there were a lot of birds as well. We stayed at one of the suites. It was almost like living in a luxurious and comfy barn. Loved it! The beach is very nice and quiet, and we rented a kayak, snorkeling equipment and bikes from the lodge. There are som nice places to eat nearby. We had an amazing experience staying at Casa Viva, and we would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone. We stayed in the newly constructed studios, which felt luxurious with a modern design and AC. We felt so close to nature as though we were surrounded by lush jungle paradise and we could enjoy it through our giant window or from the large patio. Given the immersion in nature, you can hear the rain and howler monkeys, but it wasn’t too burdensome. Nicole, the manager, was an accommodating host, offering useful recommendations for restaurants and activities. She even ensured we had water at night when we needed it. The housekeeping staff also kept our room very clean. The beach was a short walk from our room and I can see why many say Punta Uva is their favorite beach in the area because it was breathtaking. On the sunny days, the water was clear and calm. The beach felt secluded and very safe. From our patio, we saw toucans, hummingbirds, other exotic birds, and agoutis. I loved all the tropical plants everywhere. Walking on the beach, we saw howler monkeys with babies, crabs, green macaws, and shore birds. It’s a good location with many restaurants and activities that are walking distance or bike-friendly (bikes provided by hotel to rent). Nous avons eu la chance de voir un paresseux, plusieurs singes, un colibri, des papillons, des agoutis et des lucioles au sein de la propriété… le bungalow est très propre, le ménage est fait tous les jours. Le seul reproche que nous aurions serait le faible équipement à la cuisine qui ne permet pas de manger sur place, mais le restaurant de plage (de l’hôtel voisin) nous a régalé, et c’est un beau souvenir de se rendre au restaurant par la plage, à la lumière de la lune.Verified We loved our stay here right on the beach. Only complaints we had was that the room does not have AC and that it was small and dark, but we also stayed at nearby hotels, which were much more expensive and were not as nice, so the area is expensive and this was overall a good deal.
